With her encouragement, there were many beautiful projects. I began watching sewing with Nancy Saturday mornings with my children. Her stories about church, 4H , college and her first job. I dont believe in coincidences. If my memory serves me correctly, I also attended a class that she taught at that venue. She has inspired me for many years. Nancy Zieman, who taught public TV viewers how to sew over 36 seasons of her show Sewing With Nancy, has retired due to health issues. But those who knew Nancy Zieman personally, as well as those who appreciated Nancys role in the sewing and quilting industry, form a unique community of people who care deeply and respectfully for others. Nancy came to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for sewing and pattern alterations. I have an autoimmune condition which has made it harder to see large projects, but she had so many smaller projects that I could still dream and create.
